The highly anticipated Acrisure Arena has finally announced December dates for upcoming musical performances for its late 2022 grand opening. The $300 Million Acrisure Arena will be the proud home of AHL’s Coachella Valley Firebirds (inaugural AHL season 2022-2023) and serve as a multi-purpose live entertainment venue built for AHL hockey, live music and events.
The Acrisure Arena opens with a December 15 concert featuring The Doobie Brothers, following the wrap of the band’s 50th Anniversary Tour which has had Tom Johnston, Michael McDonald, Pat Simmons, and John McFee back on the road together for the first time in over 25 years.
Regional Mexican Band and Latin Grammy-award winning septet, Grupo Firme, will be the first ever Latin show in the newly constructed venue playing on December 16. Grammy Award-winning multiplatinum powerhouse, Maroon 5, is bringing its 2022 World Tour to Acrisure Arena for a very special concert on New Year’s Eve, December 31. The Eagles – Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B Schmit, with Vince Gill – will bring its Hotel California 2023 Tour to Acrisure Arena, as its Grand Opening Concert on January 18.
The seating capacity for concerts at Acrisure Arena is up to 11,007, and there are plans to hold 150 events annually. The arena is centrally located in the Coachella Valley off Interstate 10 and between the Cook and Washington St. exits.
Acrisure Arena features 10,000 square feet of acoustic lapidary panels for superior arena sound engineering and 20 executive suites that are cantilevered over the lower seating bowl. The East and West Loft Club at the arena serve as private, premium club spaces with local Palm Springs craft beer offerings.
