How does your garden grow?
Master Gardener classes begin soon!
Blossom with us
Do you love gardening? Do you want to learn more about growing plants in the desert? Would you like to share your knowledge with the community? The Master Gardener program might be for you!
What all Master Gardeners share is a desire to give back to the community through volunteer work, educating and training other home gardeners in safe and sustainable gardening practices.
Master Gardeners receive more than 50 hours of instruction from University of California Cooperative Extension specialists. In return, Master Gardeners volunteer within the community and continue their gardening education. It is open to individuals who wish to increase their knowledge and horticultural skills — no previous experience necessary.
To be considered for the program, you must attend one of the following information sessions at UCR Palm Desert: 9 to 11 a.m.Sept. 21or9 to 11 a.m.Oct. 19.
Classes at the UCR Palm Desert Center are taught by experts in their fields and will be held on Wednesdays mornings starting in November 2016 and ending in March 2017.
Get your hands dirty with other garden lovers in the Coachella Valley! Master Gardeners beautify neighborhoods and have a huge impact on the local community.
